Religious Emblems

Religious emblem awards for Catholic Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are available. Parishes are encouraged to cover the cost of related workbooks and medals as earned. For more information, contact Mary Vogl at mvogl@diocesehelena.org or 406-442-5820, ext. 29.

Boy Scouts Religious Emblems
Light of Christ Cub Scouts, Tiger/Wolf; prior to 3rd grade
Parvuli Dei Cub Scouts, completed 2nd grade
Ad Altare Dei Boy Scouts, 13-14 years old, completed 6th grade
Pius XII Boy Scouts, 9th grade and higher
Girl Scouts Religious Emblems
Family of God Ages 7-9, grades 2-3
I Live My Faith Ages 9-11
Marian Medal Ages 12-15
Spirit Alive Ages 15-17


Scouting Recognition

A Diocesan Scouting Recognition is held each year in February at the Cathedral in Helena, at which the Bishop presents religious emblems to Boy and Girl Scouts and adult Scout leaders.


Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting

The diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting coordinates religious emblem counselor training and other Scouting events or activities.
