Diocese mourns passing of Father Bud Strom

Father Bud Strom passed away early in the morning of July 12 in Whitefish. The vigil will be Wednesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. at St. Charles Church in Whitefish. The funeral liturgy will be Thursday, July 15, at 11 a.m., also at St. Charles Church. A reception and luncheon will follow at St. Charles Parish Center. [Read about Father Strom]...

Justice Outreach Project 2010 video

During the week of June 27 - July 2, youth and young adults from the Diocese of Helena volunteered their time and talent on the Blackfeet Reservation in Browning, MT, helping with construction and other projects. Through service and solidarity, these volunteers dug deep into the core of Catholic Social Teaching and celebrated the culture of the Blackfeet people in the breathtaking landscape of northwest Montana. Son Light Raffle tickets available at a parish near you!

The Son Light Celebration raffle is underway! First prize is a 2011 Ford Fiesta SE sedan, and second prize is two tickets to see the Seattle Seahawks at Qwest Field. Tickets are $25 each or $100 for five. A maximum of 5,000 tickets will be sold. Proceeds from the raffle benefit Legendary Lodge. Tickets are available at all parishes, Legendary Lodge, Catholic schools, Catholic Social Services of Montana, the Montana Catholic Conference, and the Chancery in Helena. [Read more]...
