Living Stones enters parish input phase

The weekend of Jan. 14-15, parishes announced that the six deanery planning groups have proposed plans for the Living Stones process. A parish input meeting will be scheduled in each parish in the coming weeks, with parishioners’ input due back to the parish by Feb. 8, 2012. The deanery plans and videos about the Living Stones process are available here.

Bishops reaffirm Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship

In advance of the 2012 elections, the U.S. bishops reaffirmed their 2007 document, Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, in this coming election cycle and beyond, as the “continuing teaching of our Bishops’ Conference and our guidance for Catholics in the exercise of their rights and duties as participants in our democracy.” The document has been updated with a new introductory note identifying six “current and fundamental problems”...

The initial reading of the complaint reveals difficulty in clearly identifying some of the defendants, but it appears the majority were members of religious orders or congregations, rather than the Diocese of Helena.
