Participation will ensure the success of DOP 2007

The Development Services division reports strong initial returns with large batches of pledges and payments from parishes across the diocese in the first few weeks of the Diocesan Offertory Program campaign.
As “Commitment Weekend” was just two weekends ago, not enough returns have yet been tabulated for a major report.
Five percent of diocesan households have contributed, moving the campaign toward the goal of 100 percent participation. Glenda Seipp, annual giving and stewardship manager, noted that 14.12 percent of the diocesan financial goal of $1.69 million is accounted for with much more received and still “in the hopper.”
While no gift is too small, an early calculation indicates the average family gift to the DOP exceeds $219. Parishioners are encouraged to drop their pledge in their parish collection or mail it in as soon as possible to DOP, PO Box 1729, Helena, MT 59624.
A complete parish-by-parish breakdown of progress will be provided in next month’s issue of the Montana Catholic.
