Plan update shared in parishes
‘Living dream’ continues to develop

Last weekend parishioners across the Diocese of Helena heard their bishop speak about the status of the pastoral plan, Come to the Light.
In his recorded message, Bishop George Leo Thomas addressed the areas in which progress has already been made, including the recent staff additions of Youth and Young Adult Minister Doug Tooke, Pastoral Services Director Mark Frei, and the Development Services team of director Bernie Hewitt, advisor Father Carl Deitchman, stewardship manager Glenda Seipp and Foundation for the Diocese of Helena Executive Director Beth Yeakel.
Bishop Thomas also noted the feasibility study for a capital campaign and the development of the diocesan permanent deacon program as recent activities tied directly to the pastoral plan.
“I urge all parishioners to read it; I challenge especially all pastoral councils and finance councils to look at initiatives on the local level that can move forward the concepts that are found in the plan,” he said.
Bishop Thomas’ message can be heard on the diocesan website at www.diocesehelena.org.
