Foundation announces
fiscal year 2009 grant recipients
At its quarterly meeting on Friday, March 7, the board of trustees of the Foundation
for the Diocese of Helena approved awarding a total of $25,000 in grants to
16 applicants. Thirty-four applications were received by the foundation office,
requesting a total of $132,383.95.
The following grants were awarded for fiscal year 2009:

Carroll College Campus Ministry; Guatemala Mission Trip; $1,000
Conrad Deanery/St. Michael Parish; Install showers; $2,000
Diocesan Catholic Formation Division; Justice Outreach Project; $2,500
Guatemala Missions; Office Equip-ment; $3,000
Diocesan Vocations Office; DVD and Web Production; $2,600
Holy Spirit Parish, Butte; Permanent Diaconate Program Costs; $1,200
Little Flower Parish, Browning; PFLM Registration Costs; $1,000
Resurrection Parish, Bozeman; Campus Ministry; $2,000
St. Anne Parish, Heart Butte; Art for Children and Parents; $500.00
St. Anthony Parish, Missoula; InFocus Projector; $1,200
St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Hamilton; RE Congress 2009; $500

The grants program was instituted by the Foundations board of trustees to provide funding for parishes or programs that do not have the resources to fund specific ministries or projects; and to increase awareness and recognition of the Foundation within the diocese, explained Foundation Services Director Beth Yeakel.
