Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA)

The Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) has a long history in the Diocese of raising funds to support various ministries promoted by the bishop. It provides approximately one third of the overall budget for the diocese. The ACA was formerly known as the Diocesan Offertory Program, or DOP.

from Age to Age Capital Campaign

The Diocese of Helena launched the from Age to Age capital campaign in 2008. The campaign is in now in year three of a five-year campaign.

Living Stones: Planning for Tomorrow

Living Stones is an initiative to address the “equitable distribution of priest personnel” within the Diocese of Helena for the years to come. The ultimate goal of the study is “to form realistic strategies by collaborating with parishes and regions to plan in light of the numbers of ordained priests who will be available to serve*” in the future.



National Catholic Campaigns

Year of Faith

Pope Benedict XVI has declared the coming year as a “Year of Faith,” which begins on October 11, 2012, and concludes on the Solemnity of Christ the King in November, 2013.

Respect Life Program

On Sunday, October 3rd, Respect Life Month begins. The Respect Life Program is an initiative of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. This year's theme is "The measure of love is to love without measure." Respect Life Month begins every year on Respect Life Sunday, the first Sunday in October.

For Your Vocation

The Bishops of the United States launched ForYourVocation.org on April 25, the World Day of Prayer for Vocations and Good Shepherd Sunday. The new site is to be a resource for both laity and clergy in the promotion of vocations.

Catholic Relief Services

Catholic Relief Services is the official humanitarian relief agency of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Bishop George Leo Thomas currently serves as the chairman of the U.S. Operations Committee for CRS.

The United State Conference of Catholic Bishops launched this multifaceted website as part of their national pastoral initiative on marriage. From dating to engagement, parenting and the "empty nest" years, this site has resources for all stages of marriage.
