Three priests are providing priestly ministry in the Diocese of Helena. Fathers Madigan and Wright began their service in July; Father Róg began in mid-September.
Father Stanislaw Róg
Parochial Vicar (Associate Pastor) at SS. Cyril and Methodius Parish, East Helena.
- Born: March 12, 1968
- First of six children; parents are Janina and Stanislaw.
- Hometown: Korczow, Poland
- Graduated high school in Bilgoraj in 1987.
- Attended Catholic University of Lublin; Diocesan Seminary in Lublin. Received a master’s degree in moral theology.
- Ordained Priest: May 29, 1993
- Served as Parochial Vicar in Tomaszow for three years.
- Studied pastoral theology at University of Lublin – received Licentiate in 1998.
- 1999 – studied English at Rutgers University in Passaic, N.J.
- Residence and ministry at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Newark, N.J.
- 2000 – Parochial Vicar in Zamosc and Diocesan Coordinator of Catholic Families.
- 2001 – Pastor of St. Anthony Parish in Udycze.
- June 2007 – Pastor of St. Peter and Paul Church in Moniatycze.
Father Daniel Greene Madigan
Providing priestly ministry at Saint Mary Catholic Community, Helena.
- Born: August 18, 1945
- Hometown: Portland, Maine
- Entered New England Province, Society of Jesus in 1968; took first vows in 1970; left the Society in 1990.
- Seminary: Philosophy at Weston College (1970-72).
- Theology one year in New Delhi; then Weston College (1975-1980).
- M.A. in Slavic languages and literatue and M.A. in English
- M.Div.
- Ph.D. in early British literature
- Ordained: June 21, 1980.
- Served in:
New England Province, Society of Jesus.
Diocese of Portland, Maine.
Archdiocese of Seattle.
Diocese of Gaylord – Parish in Alpena, Michigan.
Father Frank A. Wright, SMA
Providing priestly ministry at St. John the Evangelist Parish, Butte.
- Born: June 2, 1951, at Quincy, Massachusetts
- Parents: David and Rita Mary
- Ordained: June 23, 1993, for Society of African Missions Fathers (SMA).
- B.A. in comparative Literature from Beloit College – 1973.
- Ph.D. in linguistics from Indiana University – 1986.
- M.Div from Washington Theological Union – 1993.
- Assignments: 1993-2003 - Jericho Catholic Church in Archdiocese of Nairobi, Kenya.
- 2003-2007 - Mataara Catholic Parish in Archdiocese of Nairobi, Kenya.
- He has had many church-related assignments, including being the SMA Regional Councilor for the Kenya Region and Provincial Councilor for the SMA U.S. Province.
- Studied languages, including: French, Spanish, Modern Greek, Irish, Chadian Arabic, Hausa (Nigeria), Bambara (West Africa), KiSwahili, Kikuyu (Kenya), Dan (Ivory Coast), Daza (Chad), Luo (Kenya), Korean, Kinyarwanda (Rwanda), Isixhosa (South Africa), Somali.
