Father Roderick Ermatinger will assist Father Michael Drury in the parishes and missions at Shelby, Sunburst, Cut Bank, Valier and Dupuyer.

Father Ermatinger has accepted the assignment while he continues the discernment process involving separation from the Legionaries of Christ and Incardination into the Diocese of Helena.

Father Ermatinger, 49, was ordained on Dec. 24, 2005. He earned a bachelor’s degree at Marquette University in Wisconsin and a law degree at the University of Montana. His seminary studies were through the Legionaries of Christ. Father Ermatinger was born in Evanston, Ill., and has family roots in the Missoula area.
