More than 30 quilts made by members of the Council of Catholic Women, at Pope John
Paul II Parish in Bigfork, were among items gathered for shipment to orphans in Haiti.
The quilt project was spearheaded by Pat Freebury of Epworth United Methodist Church
in Kalispell. Haiti Mercy Mission administrators Frank and Jeanette McLaughlin of
Nisswa, Minn., are coordinating the shipment of quilts and other items. In earlier outreach,
the Bigfork CCW collected nearly 400 pair of Crocs, which were sent to orphans
in Haiti.
