Twenty-two women religious serving in the Diocese of Helena met with Bishop George
Leo Thomas for lunch and conversation May 14 at the Brondel Center in the Cathedral of
St. Helena. Four of the sisters provided updates on the work of their congregations
nationally and internationally. Sister Clarann Weinert spoke for the Sisters of Charity of
Cincinnati (SC), Sister Mary Jo Quinn for the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth (SCL),
Sister Marie Corr for the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM) and Sister
Margaret Hillary for the Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids (OP). Bishop Thomas shared
diocesan updates and answered questions from the sisters. Dominican Sisters Margaret
Hillary and Mary Stauder, who began ministering at St. Ignatius last fall after moving from
Grand Rapids, were welcomed to the diocese.
