Living the life of a faithful steward was the focus of a San Diego convention attended by Father Jeff Fleming of Missoula’s Christ the King Parish and by Glenda Seipp, diocesan director of annual giving and stewardship services. They were among more than 1,000 people, from at least a dozen countries, at the International Catholic Stewardship Council convention held Sept. 19-22. During its “parish fair” segment, Father Fleming and Seipp shared materials and ideas with convention participants. Father Fleming received a particularly enthusiastic response after he spoke about his parish’s Wall of Gratitude. The International Catholic Stewardship Council annually judges stewardship promotional materials produced by parishes and dioceses. The Annual Appeal Poster category included an honorable mention for the Diocese of Helena’s 2009 poster with the theme “125 Years of Mission and Ministry.” The 2011 convention is scheduled for Oct. 23-26 in Orlando, Fla. Registration is open to all. More information is available from Seipp, who can be reached by e-mail to gseipp@diocesehelena.org by calling the Chancery, 406-442-5820.
