Catholic Mutual, the diocesan insurance carrier, has issued a new application for Special Events Coverage. This coverage is required for any event held on Diocesan or Parish property that is not specifically organized or hosted by the Parish or a Diocesan Organization.

Most commonly these events include wedding receptions, meetings or dinners organized by non-parish organizations (e.g. lawyers, doctors, Kiwanis, etc.), or concerts.

Any person or organization wishing to use Parish or Diocesan facilities must apply for this coverage by submitting the application, at least two weeks before the scheduled event's date, to the following address:

There is an $95 fee per event which must be submitted with the application.

An organization can use their existing liability policy instead of purchasing this special coverage by submitting a certificate of liability coverage (at least $1,000,000) to the Diocese of Helena Business Office at the above address, or by fax to (406)442-5191.
