  • Pastoral Council -- A pastoral council is to be established in every parish of the diocese, designed to foster the pastoral activity of the parish, in keeping with the general law of the church and diocesan guidelines (Acts of the Synod of the Diocese of Helena, August 1988). The Pastoral Planning Office offers support to parish pastoral councils through workshops and other resources to develop appropriately as consultative bodies.
  • Finance Council -- A finance council is to be established in every parish of the diocese, designed to assist the pastor in the administration of the temporal goods of the parish, in keeping with the general law of the church and diocesan guidelines (Acts of the Synod of the Diocese of Helena, August 1988). The Pastoral Planning Office, together with the Business Administration Division, provides support and resources to parish finance councils to develop appropriately as consultative bodies.
