Religious Education

Religious Education provides resource and consultation to develop and support lifelong formation in the Catholic faith. CFS develops guidelines, curricula and policy statements for parish religious formation, provides formational and enrichment opportunities for catechetical and pastoral leaders as well as the general public and coordinates diocesan training and certification processes for catechetical leaders. It provides a clearinghouse for information on employment opportunities in catechetical and pastoral ministries, and maintains liaisons with diocesan, regional and national agencies.

Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry provides resources and consultation in youth and young adult ministry, including the Catholic Youth Coalition (CYC) and the Youth Ministry Advisory Council (YMAC) boards, as well as the annual diocesan youth convention and Leadership Training Camp at Legendary Lodge. It provides coordinating support for diocesan participation in national and international activities, including World Youth Day and the biannual NCYC and NCCYM conferences. It maintains liaisons with diocesan, regional and national associations.

Diocesan Resource Center

The Diocesan Resource Center is an extensive media library of both text and audio-visual items for circulation through parish or school contact persons (click here to go to the online catalog). It provides consultation services for selection and appropriate use of media and curriculum materials in pastoral and catechetical settings, and maintains liaisons with regional and national associations.

Legendary Lodge

Legendary Lodge, a diocesan camp and retreat facility located on Salmon Lake offers summer camps for youths in 5th through 12th grades and other adult renewal opportunities.

Program of Formation for Lay Ministers

Level One: A two-year program of educational and spiritual formation in contemporary pastoral theology for adults who desire to serve the church in non-ordained ministry. PFLM sessions meet monthly on weekends during the academic year. Academic credit is available through Carroll College.

Scouting

Provides liaison support for local and diocesan Scouting activities and supplies medals for Catholic Scouting religious emblem programs.
