The Montana Catholic Conference (MCC), which is funded and supported by both Montana dioceses, allows the state’s Catholic bishops a voice in the debate on public policy matters. Its executive director expresses church concerns to state legislators on moral aspects of proposed legislation in areas such as pro-life, health care, education, social needs, aging, children and families.
The director coordinates interdiocesan programs to raise public awareness of current issues, speaks on pro-life concerns, and works on selected issues with the Montana Association of Churches and other organizations involved in social justice.
